Vote “BionicTeaching” for Best Blog Campaign!

A very good online friend (that I don’t nearly collaborate enough with, sorry Tom), has recently had his blog nominated for the 2007 Edublog AwardsBest Group Blog.” What’s a group blog who ask, and who is this friend?

Vote for BionicTeachingTom Woodward is a creative educator from Virginia that uses humor and wonderful visual aides to convey concepts to students and other learners. You may remember him from his popular Copyright & Education presentation that used the simple stoplight analogy for what is safe to use in your classroom and what isn’t when it comes to copyright infringement. He also blogs over at BionicTeaching with the help of Jim Coe, an English Language Arts instructor. Together, they have been nominated for one of this year’s best group blogs, a blog written by two or more people, and rightly so. Both authors offer unique insight to the world of education from the perspective of an educator “in the trenches” that is constantly trying to improve their use of technology to engage students in deep, meaningful ways.

So if you have a few seconds (that’s all it really takes), please consider visiting the 2007 Edublog Awards website and vote for BionicTeaching for Best Group Blog. I already have, and if the darn Internet wasn’t so smart and tracking my I.P. address, I’d vote again.

  1. Ben,

Too kind, as always. I appreciate the support. I don’t think we’ve got much of a shot against the high powered Tech Learning blog (just about everyone I’ve ever heard of that’s “famous” in edtech) but I didn’t failing to be at least semi-competitive.

It is a shame we don’t do more work together. I think if I could join you, Todd and Dan (and a few others) at a school someplace I’d be a happy man. The Internet will have to do I guess. It’s amazing to me what y’all come up with on a regular basis. This gives me an idea for a post- my dream team school staff. šŸ™‚

    Thanks again,

    Tom
